So I've been working on posting these since Brightyn was born, but in all the craziness trying to keep up with her, the house, my sleep and just life in general, some how blogging was not on the top of the to do list. But we are adjusting nicely to life with a baby and now that I'm more in control I found sometime to write this post.
This is our first family picture together!! Our baby girl and the proudest parents on earth. She was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Happiest day of our lives! (I know I look horrible in all of these, but considering I was up all night having a baby I hope you'll forgive my crudy appearance. I had actually planned to fix my hair, but after labor I just didn't care any more).

Labor didn't go exactly as I had planned. In fact just about everything was the exact opposite of what I thought I wanted (call me if you want details), but in the end I finally had my baby girl in my arms and she was perfect and healthy. What more could I ask for?

And for who ever is wondering, no I didn't go natural. Depending on which way you look at it, I either wised up or wimped out, one of the two. I like to think it was a wise choice, my epidural felt like heaven:) But props to all you mamas who can do it the natural way!! I have total respect and admiration for you. You're amazing Mom!!!

Brigham is the best dad any little girl could ask for! And he is the best husband ever! To have him there holding my hand was all I needed. I love you babe!!!
By the way, the only regret I have about when Brightyn was born is that I was so totally consumed by her finally being in my arms that I didn't take the time to look up at Brigham and see his face when he first saw his little girl. So all you soon to be moms don't forget to look up at your honey when you have baby in your arms for the first time. When I get to watch my life video in heaven I'm fast forwarding to that part;)

This is me, baby and good old Dr. Beck. He's the man! FYI not only did he deliver baby Brightyn but he also deliver my sister Toni and Brigham's sister McKenna and lil bro Spencer. Isn't that crazy sweet!!

And this is a shot of me and my angel nurse Pam. She was there with me for the hardest part of my labor-pushing! She freaking ROCKS!
